Tishomingo High School student Brooklyn Triplett died on Tuesday, 22 March 2022.
As for the cause, it was an accident. A four-seater car, Chevy Spark, collided with a semi-truck in Tishomingo. Besides her, three others, Gracie Machado, Austin Holt, Memory Wilson, Madison Robertson, and Addison Gratz, passed away.
The car’s driver was a 16-year-old, while three of the girls were 15 and the other two were 17.
The Tishomingo Public School’s superintendent Bobby Waitman informed about the incident via a Facebook post.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office received a call to check out a wreck at US 377, State Highway 22, and State Highway 99. A semi-truck heading south on US 377 collided with a car heading east on OK-22.
The truck driver is 51-year-old Valendon Burton from Burneyville, Oklahoma. He didn’t get any injury as his seat belts were on. Moreover, he didn’t receive any charges.
Ohio Highway Patrol is continuing the investigation.
